Create-A-Day: your daily dose of creativity #252 — Visioning the Invisible

Standard

VisionAs we wind down our year of creative posts,  I want to direct you to two blog posts. The first is from my friend Dave Weiss of AMOK Arts entitled “Vision… Can You See it?” This post is a short but powerful word of encouragement to artists and creatives about moving forward in the dreams, callings, visions and destinies to which God is calling you.

The second, from Samantha Lee-Wiraatmaja of Godly Womanhood, is entitled Casting Vision + Thriving in Body, Soul & Spirit. Admire the BEaUtiful worksheets she uses for the visioning and goal-setting. And if the idea of visioning seems foreign to you, Samantha spells it out with easy-to-follow steps. She even includes pictures for us visual learners! You can also join her on January 30th for a Vision Workshop.

It is my prayer that as this year unwinds you will seek the Lord’s guidance and will for the coming year. What creative destiny has He placed on your heart? What has He called you to for the season ahead? Make yourself “present” to God and seek what he has for you in this present moment!

Seek His kingdom first! Let his kingdom come and his will be done on earth in this time as it is in heaven!

Blessings of ARTistry, CREATivity & BEaUty, Jody

Create-A-DayWhat is Create-A-Day?  Just as One-A-Day® Vitamins help restore the nutrients we deplete in our bodies, so too do we need to refill, replenish and renew our creative souls. In 2015, watch for daily* posts to undergird your ministry; lead you to resources to nurture the creative spirit within; and draw you more deeply in worship of Jesus Christ. My goal is to provide you, the creative Christian, with over 250* resources to help you develop your ARTistry, CREATivity & capacity for BEaUty. Books, worship arts ministries, video series, websites, conferences—all geared towards artists, creatives, worshipers and people serving in worship and creative arts ministries. So, visit my blog every day* to see what creative resource I’ve hunted down for you. You can stay connected by following me on Twitter or Facebook. Or better yet, sign up to receive email updates by clicking the button to the left. We’ll watch the resources pile up as the year unfolds!
* I am a proponent of family time and Sabbath rest so don’t look for posts on weekends or Holidays.
