Welcome all people of ARTistry, BEaUty & CREATivity to God’s Creative Gift where you will find inspiration, Bible studies & resources to nurture the creative spirit within! Here’s what’s happening…
Jody is writing again in 2016!
I am currently writing my second in-depth devotional Bible Study for artists, creatives, worshipers and those inspired by beauty. I am writing on the healing journey of the artist and the artist as healer. If you have a story or testimony of healing through creativity and feel led to share it with me, you can email me at email@example.com.
In the meantime, have you read my first book, God’s Creative Gift–Unleashing the Artist in You? Understand what the Bible has to say about artistry, beauty and creativity!
“In the beginning, God created…” And so too must we!
The very first thing we find God doing in the Bible is creating. He wasn’t thinking or reading or contemplating or learning—He was creating! Then, at the culmination of His creating, he made man and woman in His own image! YOU are made in the image of a creative God! As an artist or creative person, that should not only empower you, but make you ecstatic! You are His BEaUtiful masterpiece!
And it doesn’t end there—the work that flows from your hands, the music that pours from your instrument or voice, the dance that moves through your body, the words composed by your pen, the images reflected in your artwork, are not your own. They are from Another who still longs to speak to His creation, through His creation. May He speak boldly through you!
May you find inspiration here from God’s Word and from resources of other believer-artists. To the left (or above) you’ll find categories to help you navigate this site: the “Bio” section tells you more about me; the “Book” section provides more info about my first devotional Bible study; the “Bible Studies” section includes studies and devotionals very similar to those in my book; the “Music” section is about my devotional CD; the “Media” section connects you to book reviews and interviews; and the “Creative Resources” section (broken down into categories to help you find posts specific to your interests) includes links to creative resources and inspiration, as well as Create-A-Day 2015.
Thank you for visiting. May we together, unleash the artist in you and make His praise glorious!!
