Colleen Briggs is an artist who shares her work and life with beautiful transparency on her blog Fragments of Light. For example, in her post, Lunge for the Light, she shares that it is “for the days when leaning for the light is not enough,” referencing a previous painting entitled “Lean for the Light” posted two weeks earlier with a short poem of ragged intensity.
I had the honor of sharing lunch with Colleen last fall, and I discovered in her a kindred spirit—someone with a shared understanding of why the arts move us as believers and why the exploration of creativity is important to our faith walks.
Take some time to explore her blog today by clicking through the links above! And allow her artwork to lead you to BEaUtiful places with the Holy Spirit!
Blessings of ARTistry, CREATivity & BEaUty, Jody

Thank you Jody! I am so honored and encouraged. You are an amazing encouragement gift to so many artists. Glory be to God, and may He expand your territory!
Keep glorifying God in you work! It is an inspiration and a “soul-lifter” 🙂
Creativity is definitely God given. He is the ultimate Creator! 🙂 I am checking out that devotional book. My teenage daughter is very creative and this may be something she will like. God bless! 🙂
I know she will be inspired by the Bible studies. God has so much to say to artists and creatives!!! Blessings on you and your daughter! Jody
It’s so wonderful when you meet another kindred spirit, isn’t it? Thank you for exposing us to her artistry as well as yours!
